One evening, one piece of umber calf, one kiss-lock frame. We cut, stitch, and finish together at the big table — you leave with the smallest piece in the collection, made by you. No experience needed; coffee and wine both count as materials.

About — Design Practice
We make the objects that finish the sentence of an outfit.
ARTDATE is an independent design practice working in leather. We work in small series, favouring sculptural forms over seasonal trends. Every piece is cut, folded, and finished by hand — slowly, deliberately. This site is the portfolio of that practice.
We believe a bag is the most intimate object you own — it goes everywhere you go and carries the evidence of it. So we make pieces designed to age beautifully: unlined edges that burnish, surfaces that keep the marks of a life well carried.
The Vortex Gallery is how the work is shown: floating, unhurried, the way pieces drift around a studio before they find their person. Scroll through it. When one stops you, that's the one.
When we're not in the studio, we're sourcing deadstock leather, sketching on the backs of receipts, and arguing — fondly — about whether a tote ever really needs a zipper.
